An explicit yet exceptionally tender coming-of-age drama set in the unusual world of the porn industry explores how our perceptions of sexuality, love and intimacy are shaped. Alec, an introverted teenager, has always viewed life through the lens of his father's small-time pornography business, where their home doubles as a set. Since his mother's death, he has been drawn deeper into the family business and now films and edits the content that his rough father, Dylan, produces and stars in. One of Dylan's girls, the free-spirited adult entertainer Lizzie, has become something of an older sister to Alec. As financial pressures mount, father and son relocate to a sleepy seaside town. Alec hopes for a fresh start and tries to make new friends without revealing his unconventional life. Events take a turn when he meets his classmate Nina, a fiercely independent young feminist whose worldview could not be further removed from the one Alec grew up with.
"If you make a film about a teenager growing up in a family that produces porn, I didn't want to shy away from it. I want to make films that are as truthful as possible. If I was to sugarcoat it, or shy away from it, I wouldn't be able to show the audience what this boy experiences. So there are explicit elements in the film, but it is about showing something very real, very raw, with tenderness." (Muriel d'Ansembourg)
