A retired security expert is brought back into active service to train a young elite unit and track down a mysterious criminal known as "The Shadow". A dynamic action adventure starring Jackie Chan and showcasing his martial arts skills. A gang led by mastermind Fu Longsheng, a.k.a. The Shadow, steals billions in cryptocurrency before effortlessly evading the police, casually hacking their formidable surveillance system, outsmarting them on the ground and disappearing into the streets of Macau. To counter thieves who can turn any high-tech security system into their plaything, the police call on retired surveillance expert Wong Tak-Chung to train and lead the elite "Adorable Unit" in low-tech methods. This old-school game of cat and mouse between thieves and police will put everyone's wits, nerves and loyalties to the test.
"At first, I didn't want to play another police officer because I've done so many cop stories. But the way Larry Yang presented it was very compelling. It made me want to try once more, to see what new elements I could bring to audiences. / ... / The pace of new technology still amazes me, and many techniques feel so fresh to me. But in action films, no matter how technology develops, the human element can never be replaced." (Jackie Chan)
