"Making Whites Wash at Ninety was a unique experience. A story based on real-life events requires a special approach. Remaining faithful to the novel's original storyline while seeing it through cinematic lens required a lot of careful consideration. In addition, the story of loss and family also left a profound impression on me personally. It makes you realise that the time left to us is precious and the presence of people dear to us is by no means a given." (Marko Naberšnik)
